2015 Breeding Season

photo

As the 2015 breeding season comes to an end I am quite satisfied with how it all turned out. The season started off slow with poor fertility and cool weather. Justin and I did not get all the birds settled and paired until into April. However by late June we were in full production and almost every pair was producing. The last rounds are in the nests now and we have a nice group of young birds to work with. Between Justin and I we have around 175 young Jacobins, 125 young fantails, 40 young Voorburgs and 25 young exhibition Homers. Now to get pairs all split up and birds vaccinated for PMV and debugged before moult starts.
